The Chief Minister of Goa has while speaking on the unresolved issue of the Sonsodo garbage dump assured to have a meeting to get a sure resolution to the issue within 10 days. He was replying to a question in the Assembly.
The Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat and Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco criticised the Government over the delay in having the Bio-Methanation plants at the Sonsodo site.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai questioned whether the BJP Government plans to extract political benefits from the Sonsodo issue. The Margao MLA Digambar Kamat said that not one meeting of the High Power Committee was held for long time.
The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has assured to hold a joint meeting of himself, Waste management Minister and the concerned MLAs of Fatorda, Curtorim and Margao.
