Shri Parshuram Gomantak Sena and History Lovers Group have handed a resolution to the Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant by with regards to the Notification and Restoration of the historic Betul Fort situated in Betul Village. The fort lies in doldrums with encroachments and anti social activities happening.
Betul Fort was built by the Hawaldar of Balli on the orders of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the year 1679. Strong resolution has been given by the Chief Minister of Goa for Immediately working on the Notification and Restoration of the historic Betul Fort. The HJS has also given a representation to the Chief Minister asking for removal of fencing by the land owner blocking traditional pathway of the fort.
