Michael Lobo, Calangute MLA, suggested Goans to stop blaming outsiders for grabbing the business. At the launching event of a fast food cart at Parra, Lobo said, it is Local’s responsibility to keep the business opportunities in their hand, when they take a step back, outsiders find a way to enter into the business and take over it from locals. Goans should increase their participation in local businesses.
Parra deputy sarpanch Daniel Lobo also said that, as a part of Swaympurna Parra initiative, the kiosk has been offered by panchayat with an aim to provide self-employment opportunities to villagers. It is our goal to give a platform to implement the ideas of youth and thereby enhance self-employment opportunities all over the Parra. We are ready to offer whatever assistance is needed to locals to set up their business.
