Adani Data Network Limited (ADNL), the company of Asia’s richest man Gautam Adani, has got a unified license for telecom services. That is, now this company has been able to provide all the telecom services in the country. Adani Group entered the telecom sector after buying spectrum in the recently held 5G spectrum auction in the country.
The Adani Group, while entering the telecom sector, had said that it is planning to use the airwaves for super apps along with its data centers which will support the retail sale of gas from power distribution to airports and ports. Gautam Adani’s company, ready to provide telecom services, will now be able to expand its 5G services after getting this license. Along with this, companies like Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea, already existing giants in this sector, are going to get tough competition.
It is worth noting that the Adani Group bought 400 MHz spectrum for 20 years for Rs. 212 crores during the recently concluded 5G spectrum auction. With this purchase, Gautam Adani entered the telecom sector of the country by buying spectrum in the auction.
