OUT OF FORMALIN & COVID FEAR CHURCHILL WANTS CM TO STOP FISH, VEGETABLE TRUCKS COMING TO GOA FOR 2 MONTHS

Covid19 Pandemic Politics

The Benaulim NCP MLA Churchill Alemao has requested the Chief Minister of Goa to stop the fish and vegetable trucks coming to Goa from other states for next 2 months out of Formalin fish and Covid fear. This demand comes on the backdrop of the Mangor hill outbreak.

Churchill has requested entire lockdown for the month of June in Goa as he said that Goans have to suffer today because fish and vegetables trucks were allowed into the state. “Goa was a green zone. The virus increases in cold temperatures. Hence, we have to have complete lockdown in the month of June to stop the spread” Churchill requested, while further urging the people of Goa to have patience and stop buying fish coming from other states for the next 2 months. Churchill insisted that fish coming from other states can never be free from Formalin lacing as the distance is more and there is unavailability of ice at the places of origin of these fish.

Churchill has also requested the Chief Minister to delay the reopening of schools and hotels until the spread is contained.
