A raid was conducted at the house of PFI leader Anis Ahmed Mossa by NIA, ED & Goa police at Baina, Vasco

On Thursday, around 3 am a joint raid operation was conducted by National Investigation Agency, Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Goa police at the residence of Popular Front of India (PFI) leader Anis Ahmed Mossa at Baina, Vasco. This operation was conducted by a team of around 20 officers. A large number of digital devices, cash, and incriminating documents were seized as a part of the operation.

Mossa, who was the residence of Goa 15 years back is now one of the top leaders of PFI. NIA and ED officers who came from Mumbai informed Goa Police to join them in this operation. To maintain the law and order in the state, a huge force of the Goa police team was kept on standby until this operation ends.

Searches were conducted at 93 locations of PFI in 5 states namely Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, West Bengal, Bihar, and Manipur.

In the last few years, a large number of criminal cases have been registered against the PFI and its leaders and members by various states for their involvement in many violent activities. Criminal violent acts committed by the PFI include cutting off the hands of a college professor, brutal killings of individuals affiliated with organizations of other religions, hoarding explosives to target prominent people and places, supporting the Islamic State, and destroying public property. Harm has been involved, due to which an atmosphere of fear has been created among the people.
