In two separate operations, the crime branch has successfully confiscated drugs valued at Rs. 13 lakh. In the first case, three minor individuals from Bihar were discovered in possession of narcotics worth Rs. 12 lakh. Acting on a tip-off regarding individuals transporting illicit substances to Goa, the crime branch conducted a raid near the Sirsaim bus stop, resulting in the arrest of the three minors. During the operation, 12 kilograms of ganja were seized.
In the second case, another raid conducted in Mapusa led to the apprehension of Abdul Samad, a native of Karnataka. He was found with a packet containing 13.5 grams of white crystalline powder suspected to be Amphetamine. The estimated value of the synthetic drugs found in his possession exceeds Rs 1 lakh. The successful operations were carried out under the guidance of Crime Branch SP Nidhin Valsan, and they highlight the same to the higher authorities.
