According to reports, YouTuber and Big Boss OTT champion Elvish Yadav admitted to the authorities that he had ordered snakes and snake venom for the rave events.
The 26-year-old YouTuber further admitted that, during a party in Noida in November of last year, he had met every accused person who had been taken into custody by the police in relation to the usage of snake venom as a recreational drug. Yadav was taken into custody by the Noida Police earlier on Sunday, March 17, as part of their investigation. He was later brought before a judge, who sentenced him to 14 days in detention.
Notably, a FIR filed at Noida’s Sector 49 police station mentioned Yadav among its six names. The other five defendants, who were recognized as snake charmers, were taken into custody in November but are now free on bond.
Police stated that the complaint was filed under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972, Indian Penal Code sections 120B (participant in criminal conspiracy), 284 (negligent conduct with poison that jeopardizes human safety), and 289 (negligent conduct concerning animals).
Yadav has denied any participation in the matter in the interim.
