A press conference was held by Goa Ayurvedic Medical Association (GAMA), condemning the statement made by Durgadas Kamat saying Ayurvedic doctor as a Quack with respect to honorable CM. GAMA will file a complaint against the VP Vice President of Goa Forward Party Durgadas Kamat for his statement.
The representatives of GAMA said that Dr. Pramod Sawant the Chief Minister of Goa who is also an Ayurvedic doctor holding B.A.M.S degree from Mumbai university and also registered medical practitioner with Goa Board of Indian system of medicine & homeopathy (GBISM).
Ayurveda is an Indian system of medicine which is a part of ministry ofAYUSH and is also accepted & respected worldwide and calling it Quack is an anti-national statement.
During this pandemic time all ayurvedic doctors are tirelessly working as frontline health workers in different hospitals all over Goa, Also private Ayurvedic doctor’s in association with IMA are monitoring home isolated patients in different parts of Goa. Mr. Durgadas Kamat’s statement is very degrading in this pandemic situation when Ayurvedic doctor’s are working tirelessly. GAMA demands to apologise and withdraw his statement filing FIR will continue till then.
