Goenkar Ek Pavl Ekcharachem said that they are doubly overwhelmed by the twin good news of the CEC recommendations against SWR double tracking and the handsome victory awarded to the Margão Civic Alliance by the residents of Margão. The organisation says that there will be no choice with the Opposition other than to form a pre-poll alliance and accommodate each other’s aspirations if they really have the desire to keep the BJP from roaring back to Power again.
The organisation said that Fatorda and Curtorim who heeded their call to keep away the fascists and their protégés from coming to power in the Commercial Capital of Goa, which is the heart of Salcete and known for several revolts against injustice to its people even during the Portuguese era.
“Despite a raging COVID-19 Pandemic that is currently devastating our State, there is a lesson to be learnt by the Opposition parties! You will have no choice other than to form a pre-poll alliance and accommodate each other’s aspirations if you really have the desire to keep the BJP from roaring back to Power again. Make no mistake, a tired and desperate population is silently watching all of us” said the Organisation.
“This was the turning point in our desire to see that their panel was soundly defeated and we are glad that the knowledgeable residents of Margão, Fatorda and Curtorim have shown the rest of Goa that Team Goa is the solution to defeat the fascists (and their protégés of various hues) by giving the Margão Civic Alliance a thumping victory despite the fact that even our Hon. Chief Minister and a host of Ministers were personally campaigning door to door in some wards of Margão and Fatorda” reminded the Organisation.
