Arjun Tendulkar, son of former India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is all set to leave the Mumbai team. There is every possibility that he can play for Goa in the next season. The 22-year-old left-arm pacer was a part of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League and played two matches for Mumbai in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Haryana and Puducherry.

According to media reports, Junior Tendulkar has applied for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association. SRT Sports Management said in a statement – It is important for Arjun to spend as much time on the field as possible at this stage of his career. We believe playing from another place will give Arjun a chance to play more competitive matches. He is going to start a new phase of his cricket career.

Arjun Tendulkar played two matches for India Under-19 against Sri Lanka three seasons ago. At that time, he was also included in the probable limited overs squad of Mumbai. The biggest disappointment for Arjun was that he was dropped from the Mumbai team this season without getting a chance to prove himself.

GCA President Suraj Lotlikar said – We are looking for a left-arm fast bowler. That’s why we have invited Arjun Tendulkar to join the Goa team. We will play limited overs practice matches before the season and he will play in these matches. The selectors will decide to keep him in the team based on his performance in these matches.
