The Victory Flame of Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations, commemorating the 50th anniversary of victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, arrived at INS Gomantak, Goa on 11 Sep 21.
The Flame was received there by Rear Admiral Phillipose G Pynumootil, Flag Officer Commanding Goa Area, at the war memorial erected in honour of those that made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Vijay, in the presence of Army and Navy personnel. The Flame was thereafter taken to 3 Military Training Regiment, Madgaon.
