The Mapusa Bardez Deputy Collector has ordered the Bardez Mamlatdar to initiate action against the Bodgeshwar Temple Committee for violations pertaining to the Bodgeshwar Jatra fair. He has ordered filing an FIR at the Mapusa Police station against the said violation.
The Bardez Deputy Collector Kapil Phadte has ordered the Mamlatdar of Mapusa to initiate action against the President and Secretary of the Bodgeshwar Temple Committee for having violated the norms of holding the Jatra fair during the famous Bodgeshwar Jatra.
The Committee was permitted to erect and allot not more then 76 stalls at the fair. However, it has come to the notice that there are 146 stalls erected and allotted which is way more then the number 76 permitted by the Collector. The Mamlatdar has been ordered to take action under section 188 of CRPC and file an FIR against the violation at the Mapusa Police station.
