Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, was present when Bollywood star and former Congress Lok Sabha MP Govinda joined the Shiv Sena on Thursday in Mumbai.

During election season, the former Congress Lok Sabha MP teamed up with the Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
The 60-year-old actor was invited to Shinde’s celebration, and Shinde greeted him warmly, stating that he was well-liked across society.
Speaking at the event, Govinda, who began his acting career in the 1980s, stated that he never thought he would return to the same industry following his initial term in politics, which lasted from 2004 to 2009.
