The Excise officials at Excise Check Post Molem Seized Container bearing registration No TN-57-AV-4104 and 685 cases of Liquor bottles of worth Rs 8,29,680/- for illegal transportation of liquor at about 5 :15 am on 26/02/2021 was proceeding from Goa to Karnataka State.
The said liquor were concealed behind empty crates of fish in a container The driver of the vehicle ran away towards forest area by taking advantage of the darkness.
The said vehicle was detained by Shri Rohit Dessai I/c Sanguem Taluka.Shri Mohandas Govekar Excise sub Inspector, Shri Madhu Naik, Shri Dilkush Velip, Shri Ashok Parwar, Shri Ritesh B Toraskar, Shri Datta Gaonkar all Excise Guards
