BAN ON CHICKEN, EGGS LIFTED, BAN REMAINS ON IMPORT FROM INFECTED AREAS & AREAS IN 10 KM RADIUS OF INFECTED LOCATIONS

The South Goa District Administration has lifted the blanket ban on birds and eggs coming from Maharashtra and Karnataka. The ban remains on birds and eggs coming from infected areas and areas in 10 km radius of infected.

Birds and eggs coming from Mumbai, Thane, Parbhani, Beed and Dapoli and areas falling in 10 km radius of these infected places will continue to remain banned of import.

The blanket ban was lifted after the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services wrote to the District Administration informing that the Government approved the lifting of the ban.
