Curlies restaurant owner arrested again had submitted a fake Covid-19 certificate to mislead the police.

Edwin, the owner of Goa’s Curlies restaurant, who came into the limelight in the Sonali Phogat murder case, was arrested again on Thursday. Anjuna police have arrested him this time for submitting a fake Kovid certificate. Accused Edwin was earlier arrested in connection with drug possession but he was released on bail. He was summoned to Anjuna police station on several occasions in November under bail orders, but he had put up a fake Covid certificate of a private diagnostic lab in the police station to evade investigation. Another FIR was registered against him for giving fake certificates to the police. After this, he was arrested under sections 468, and 472 of IPC.

Apart from this, Anjuna Police has given an application in the Sessions Court to cancel his bail for violating the conditions of bail. Meanwhile, Goa Police has informed Hyderabad Police to take Edwin into custody if necessary in their case, further investigation is on.
