The Foundation stone for the long pending work of the Mapusa Bus Stand was laid at the hands of the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza.
The Mapusa Bus stand will be built by the GSIDC at a cost of Rs. 3.5 crores. The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant after laying the foundation stone said that the GSIDC will try to complete the project before monsoon. “Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swayampurna Goa efforts will begin in all the Municipalities” said Dr. Pramod Sawant.
Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza said that while building the bus stand special care has been taken of providing access road to the market yard shops and also to the tourists of inter-state buses who have to wade through the mud in the parking area. Emphasis has also been given he said on providing facilities to rickshaw, taxi and motorcycle pilots.
