With a motto to deliver the benefits of every scheme to every citizen of the state, Government of Goa is set to launch Swayampurna Goem 2.0. An official meeting with Swayampurna Mitras and taluka nodal officers will be held in virtual mode due to election code of conduct is in force ahead of the panchayat polls.
The government has held series of webinars for the total 285 Swayampurna mitras across the state to develop their skills. Vijay B Saxena, director of planning, statistics and evaluation, reported that, “The meeting was planned long ago due to its high importance. We are educating citizens about the various beneficiary schemes under the Swayampurna Goem. Now, we have focused to educate citizens about the various 176 central government’s schemes. On Saturday, we will brief Swayampurna mitras about 15 such schemes.”
He further added that, we have created Whatsapp groups of each taluka to monitor and track the status of activities carried out by Swayampurna mitras. With this, we also track which Swayampurna mitras is at which village by using their live locations.
