20 Bangladeshi arrested for running an illegal business in India, Goa CM apprised Home Ministry

More than 20 Bangladeshi nationals running an illegal business have been arrested in Goa. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has directed that such people should be traced in the state who are doing such activities in Goa by staying illegally. CM Sawant said that such people will be sent back to their country. The matter has been informed to the Union Home Ministry.

In the past, there were reports about illegal business of Bangladeshi nationals in Goa. Regarding this, the state Chief Minister Pramod Sawant himself has clarified the situation. In the state, the government has directed the officials to expedite the investigation against foreign nationals involved in illegal business. More than 20 Bangladeshi nationals running illegal businesses have been arrested in different parts of Goa.

CM Sawant has said that any person arrested did not have an Indian address or voter ID card. The CM directed the officials to look for more such people. They will be deported to Bangladesh. The CM said that the matter has been conveyed to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Goa Police recently identified 22 illegal Bangladeshis. This came to the fore during the verification drive of tenants and foreigners by the ATS over two months. Regarding this, ATS Superintendent of Police Shobhit Saxena said that these Bangladeshi nationals are living illegally in Goa for the last 4-5 years using fake documents. Fake documents were found from them, which were made in other states and Bangladesh cards. They were presented at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office. Their movement has been banned.
