The Verna Police have arrested 4 persons in connection with the Velsao youth murder case.
Upon receipt of information on 27th Dec around 1800 hrs Verna police registered murder case in respect of bead body lying at Velsao Beach in pool of blood.
Based on investigation and technical analysis deceased and accused persons were identified. Accused were later apprehended when they were trying to flee Goa.
4 accused have been arrested
1:- Dulal Das s/o Pohar Das, age-27years, r/o near Masjid, zuarinagar n/o Niz Barachala, Dhekiajuli, Bharphatra, Sonitpur, Assam.
2:- Manash Nath s/o Tubapad Nath, age-25 years, r/o Birla, n/o Baluke Khowa, PS Bihaguri, Sonitpur, Assam
3:- Manash Das s/o Narayan Das, age-25 years, r/o Birla, n/o Pitha Khowa, Sonitpur, Assam
4:- Ridip Das s/o Iren Das age -23 years, r/o c/o Pranav, Sinquerim, calangute, n/o Pitha Khowa, PS Puthmare, Sonitpur, Assam. Accused were trying to escape by train today on 28.12.2029 from Margao Railway station. Accused No 2 was later arrested from Birla Zuarinagar.
The deceased was identified as Kheghan Nath, age 26 yrs R/o Assam .
Investigation revealed that the deceased and accused were migrant labourers who had recently come to Goa for work. They hailed from the same district and were known to each other. On the fateful day all of them went for a picnic at Velsao Beach where they entered into a drunken brawl and the victim suffered fatal injuries. All 4 accused later fled from the spot.
